Building Work: May

The building renovations are in full swing at the Village Hall.

The Hall is closed to the public and work is due to complete in the Summer of 2012 so untill then the hall will not be available for hire.

We will keep you updated with progress as the work continues so keep checking.

Petanque Season has begun!

The Rutland Petanque league has commenced its 2012 season. The Sondes Arms ‘B’ team are currently head of the league after a win against The Hatton Arms, Gretton. Rural Days of Action on 22nd-24th May

A series of activities to make villages safer, cleaner and greener.The initiative is focusing on Middleton, Cottingham, East Carlton and Rockingham.

Badminton Club

Rockingham badminton club night has now moved to the new location of Uppingham School. Dont forget the Badminton Club is open to all- please see Ian or David Norman for more details. Or email the website.

The Season is now over and the Mixed team celebrated by winning the league and will now be promoted to 1st division next season! Well done Team!

Film Premiere

The premier of "Robin Hood son of Herne" will be shown on August 11th,in the Sondes Arms, all proceeds going to the help for heroes charity! So come along and support the local film maker Alan Pell.

The Pen Green Centre for Children and their Families (Rockingham Road, Corby) are celebrating their 30 th year in 2013, and are looking for people to be involved in a year-long heritage project.

They would like to hear from anyone who has used the building – either as the Samuel Lloyd’s School from 1936 – 1982, or as the Pen Green Nursery/Children’s Centre, from 1983 to today.

They would also like to hear from any sewing groups or enthusiastic sewers who would like to be involved in creating a patchwork tapestry of Corby’s history throughout the 20 th Century.
